Creating Futures That Are Limitless, Impactful, and Rooted in Joy

Hi, I’m Caazena Hunter—educator, strategist, and equity-driven partner.

About Me

I hold a dual B.A. in Spanish and Sociology, with an International Studies Certificate from the University of Tulsa, and an M.A. in Sociology from the University of North Texas. My academic journey has been rooted in curiosity, critical thinking, and a commitment to equity. Along the way, I co-authored *Race and Reciprocity: Inter-household Exchanges in a Multiracial Neighborhood* and contributed chapter five to *I Said What I Said: An Anthology of Black Women in Nonprofit*.

My career began as a Teaching Fellow at the University of North Texas, where I taught Sociology and discovered my passion for blending learning with practice. Since then, I’ve taught Spanish and Sociology across the Dallas–Fort Worth Metroplex, worked as a Research Analyst, served as a census enumerator, and coached individuals and families as a financial coach.

I also helped launch a community college–based family financial center and contributed to the development of a Financial Coaching Institute that trained financial coaches nationwide in financial education, coaching techniques, and cultural humility.

Beyond my career, I’m deeply rooted in family, community, and creativity. I’m an aunt extraordinaire to ten nieces and nephews, five great‑nieces and nephews, and a pandemic puppy niece named Free. I’m a lover of art, travel, music, food, and connection—all of which inspire my work.

My Why

My purpose is deeply shaped by the example of my parents, Helen and Johnny Hunter—two first‑generation college graduates and entrepreneurs in South Dallas. They owned a grocery store and a nightclub that created access and opportunity for our community. When those businesses closed, our lives changed dramatically. From them, I learned that success isn’t only about hard work—it’s about resilience, planning, and creating joy and humanity in the process.

As a Black woman in the South, these lessons ground the work I do today. I partner with individuals and organizations to design futures that are limitless, impactful, and rooted in joy. My clients bring the dream, and I work alongside them to build the strategy, structure, and accountability that make it real.

  • Joy — creating lives that feel as good as they look

  • Impact — aligning work with purpose and community

  • Resilience — turning setbacks into stepping stones

  • Humanity — honoring people’s stories, identities, and dreams

If you’re ready to dream big, plan boldly, and bring your vision to life—I’d love to work with you.

“My parents taught me that anything is possible with planning, resilience, and joy. That’s the same energy I bring to every partnership.”
